A Little About Me
I was born in Austin, TX and grew up in a bi-cultural Korean American family. Being raised in an immigrant family, I learned from an early age that life can be a struggle, no matter what your circumstance may be. For the last 14+ years I have dedicated my life to serving those with severe mental illness, co-occurring substance use, and trauma and I have come to believe that there is inherent worth and strength in all of us. I aim to provide a safe space, free of judgment, where we can share, learn, and nourish your unique strengths. I hope that, together, we can find your voice and celebrate your worth.
My specialties include immigrant/acculturation issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, stress management, adult mental health (depression, anxiety, trauma, etc.), and substance use issues (drug and alcohol). I aim to meet you where you are and at your readiness for change with a trauma-informed and culturally competent perspective.
It can feel like a big step to seek therapy and lending trust to a stranger. I am happy to provide a free confidential consultation without charge or guilt/judgment. Feel free to submit an inquiry if interested and/or if you have any questions.
I hope to join you in your path towards finding your own space and voice, because you are certainly worth it.
